This year’s theme, “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development”, echoes the core mission of the SYMBIOSIS project: making biodiversity an integral part of Europe’s transport and energy infrastructure.
To celebrate BiodiversityDay, SYMBIOSIS is proud to highlight key focus areas across its work packages:
🛠WP3 – Promoting Nature-based Solutions (NbS) as effective, future-ready approaches to enhance climate resilience and ecosystem health. Building with nature means building smarter.
📊 WP4 – Empowering transport sectors through advanced data, innovation and digital tools to foster biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.
📑 WP5 – Tackling policy and regulatory gaps to support biodiversity-smart planning throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle.
Together with our 22 partners and with support from the European Union and Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking, SYMBIOSIS is laying the groundwork for a future where infrastructure and biodiversity thrive side by side.
